The legal background of the European Union (EU) and its relationship with Cambodia

My journey in the legal field started in Cambodia in 2018, where I was given the opportunity to work on issues related to access to justice with the NGO Destination Justice. This experience cemented my passion for law and its power to shape access to protection for different individuals in society. 8 years later, in July 2026, I was invited to give a guest lecture to a group of 300 students at the Institute of Banking Studies (IBS) in Phnom Penh on the European Union (EU), its laws and and its relationship with Cambodia.

It was a pleasure exchanging with the students and I am excited to see how they will become architects of this relationship in the future.
